Lat week, I was on my way to the park when I spotted the familiar faces of Dr David Suzuki and Costa from Gardening Australia on some posters. Turns out, they’re both speaking at a sustainable living expo being held later this month at Rosehill Racecourse in Sydney.
It’s called Eco Xpo and it’s being billed as Sydney’s biggest eco living expo. It runs from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September and I’m super-excited to have FIVE DOUBLE PASSES to give away! Details at the bottom of this post.
EcoXpo 2013 will feature a series of free, live, on-stage eco-living seminars and several paid feature workshops led by experts.
I don’t normally republish content from press releases, but there is so much going on at this event that it’s easier to just let them tell you directly:
All participating vendors at EcoXpo have been screened to ensure they are eco-conscious sustainability pioneers and champions and share the same values and concerns as EcoXpo’s speakers and attendees.
All will be showcasing their wares throughout the weekend: eco businesses, hybrid cars, green technology (building, travel and home), conservation, health, beauty and fashion. Fair trade and certified organic food will be central to the celebration. And for the first time ever, there will be a pavilion dedicated to Hemp and Fair Trade.
Famous Sydney chefs will offer live cooking demonstrations showing attendees how to prepare delicious organic food. There will be mouth-watering organic food and wine to tuck into as well.
Engaging talks on recycling, environmental conservation, gardening, eco baby and green living will occur throughout the weekend.
At this year’s Sydney EcoXpo topics will include nurturing a sustainable future, the global food crisis, climate change, rising sea levels, and much more.
